Junior League of Raleigh Partnership Promotes Natural Learning
06/26/2006
The Junior League of Raleigh is working CISWC students in the Heritage Park community to provide a high quality outdoor learning environment. This project, the Natural Learning Initiative, is transforming an outdoor area adjacent to the Heritage Park Community Learning Center into a carefully planned, educational, and a recreational site for enjoyment of all residents.
This project is indicative of the Junior League of Raleigh's dedication and commitment to the students and residents of Heritage Park. Volunteers from the Junior League, residents from Heritage Park, and students from the learning center are working together to enhance the quality of life for all residents in the community. During this process they have designed a plan that will provide playing and learning opportunities to support the healthy development of Heritage Park children, while creating an outdoor space that reflects the unique cultural identity of the Heritage Park community.
CISWC is very fortunate to have such a valuable partnership with the Junior League of Raleigh.
